Bubblegum Comics!
Hey Folks! If any of you were at SPX or Fluke last year you might have seen the gumball machine filled with minicomics that our gang had going on. Well, this year we'll have newer, better, and more comics by more folks! Contributers to the machine should include me, Drew, David, Joey, and Chris, and maybe Nate, Adam, Michele and Hunter. Here's the new revamped machine, complete with it's own little guardian monster displaying th' wares for all to see. ![]() ![]()

It's...it's amazing!
Hey, do you guys still have time for my monster book? I haven't heard from y'all in forever. :( BTW, I'm getting married so you need to come. http://monsters.deantrippe.com
Wow! This is amazing stuff! i just wanted to say I think that's absolutely beautiful. I only wish I could purchase it.
P.S. - Any chance you'll be doing more pop-up art, for sale?
Hey Eleanor,
I posted this over at my SIZE MATTERS blog. http://shawnhoke.blogspot.com/ Can't wait to check it out in person at SPX!
I would love to make more pop-up art (is that what it's called?) for sale, but I don't think anyone would love buying it because it would probably end up costing over fifty bucks (they're time-consuming to make). Too bad for me, because it's about twenty million times more fun than actually drawing comics!
Shawn, thanks for your support as usual! If you do not want that maple syrup container shaped like a rooster, I will take it. It sounds like my style.
Honestly, I'm not sure if it's called pop-up art, just sounded like a nifty title. Anyways, thank you for responding.
While I would love to buy some, my funds, they are low. So low. So I don't think I could buy anything of that sort at this time. However, I would highly suggest that you consider creating more for exhibition work at galleries and so on - I think it could be a hit with the Juxtapoz crowd, especially since your work kicks the crap out of 70% of those guys. Thanks again!
These little mini-mini-mini-comics (for want of a better phrase) are so cool! I'm gonna have to make some of these myself, y'know, not to mention buy them... *toodles off with bucketloads of inspiration to fetch pen, paper and credit card*
